Gandhi Jayanti Celebration at MTMS
Mother Teresa Memorial School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with great enthusiasm and reverence on 2nd October, to honor the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our Nation. The entire school campus echoed with the spirit of peace, truth, and non-violence that Gandhiji stood for.
The celebration began with a special morning assembly where students and teachers paid tribute to Gandhiji. The program included prayers, speeches, and songs dedicated to Bapuโs ideals and his lifelong message of unity and harmony. The students presented thoughts and poems that beautifully captured Gandhijiโs vision for a peaceful India.
One of the highlights of the event was a โDress as Gandhijiโ activity, where several young students came dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, complete with khadi attire, round spectacles, and walking sticks. Their portrayal of Gandhijiโs simplicity and discipline filled the audience with admiration and joy.
A short skit on the Dandi March and a dance performance on patriotic songs added more color to the celebration. Teachers also reminded students about the importance of following Gandhijiโs values in everyday lifeโtruth, cleanliness, non-violence, and respect for all.
The event concluded with a pledge to carry forward the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and contribute towards building a better, peaceful society. The celebration truly reflected the schoolโs commitment to nurturing responsible and value-driven citizens.
