Celebrating the Essence of Our Language: MTMS Commemorates Hindi Diwas 2026

“हिंदी केवल हमारी भाषा नहीं, हमारे भावों की अभिव्यक्ति और संस्कृति की पहचान है।”

Language is the bedrock of identity, culture, and unity. At Mother Teresa Memorial School (MTMS), cultivating pride in national heritage and multilingual fluency is central to nurturing well-rounded learners. To celebrate Hindi Diwas, our campus hall echoed with literary passion, inspiring speeches, rhythmic dances, and interactive grammar activities.

Students and educators gathered together to honor the beauty, richness, and simplicity of Hindi—a language that unites hearts across the country.

An Engaging Assembly & Thematic Stage Setup

The event began with an engaging special assembly in the school auditorium. The stage was decorated with festive banners reading “हिंदी दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ”, accompanied by colorful paper wheels highlighting Hindi Varnamala (alphabets) and floral cutouts.

Student hosts took the podium to share the historical importance of September 14, 1949—the historic day when the Constituent Assembly adopted Hindi written in Devanagari script as an official language of the Union of India.

Interactive Learning: Hindi Vyakaran (Grammar) in Action

Education at MTMS emphasizes conceptual clarity through participation. During the event, students in the front row donned placards representing foundational Hindi grammar concepts:

  • Sangya (संज्ञा – Noun)

  • Sarvanam (सर्वनाम – Pronoun)

  • Kriya (क्रिया – Verb)

  • Visheshan (विशेषण – Adjective)

  • Kriya-Visheshan (क्रिया-विशेषण – Adverb)

Through short demonstrations and contextual examples, the students showcased how these grammatical pillars build meaningful sentences, making grammar learning fun, engaging, and memorable for the entire audience.

Cultural Expressions & Expressive Recitations

The celebration featured captivating stage performances by primary and middle school learners:

  • Speech & Poetry Recitations: Senior students delivered articulate speeches highlighting the literary contributions of iconic Hindi writers like Munshi Premchand, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, and Mahadevi Varma.

  • Cultural Dance Performances: Students presented synchronized dance routines in traditional and semi-classical attire, celebrating linguistic harmony and the cultural mosaic of India.

  • Group Chorus & Action Songs: Younger learners energized the hall with melodious Hindi action songs, gesturing gracefully and reciting couplets with confidence.

Nurturing Linguistic Pride at MTMS

At MTMS, observing Hindi Diwas reinforces our foundational motto: Leadership, Wisdom, Compassion, and Growth. Emphasizing our mother tongues and national languages alongside global communication equips students to express their ideas with conviction, empathy, and cultural rootedness.

We commend our Hindi Department educators for guiding the students through these performances and our young participants for celebrating the day with pride.
