Rakhi Making Competition at Mother Teresa Memorial School (MTMS)

Mother Teresa Memorial School recently hosted a Rakhi Making Competition to mark the joyous occasion of Raksha Bandhan—a festival that celebrates the unbreakable bond of love, care, and protection between brothers and sisters. The event aimed to blend creativity with cultural values, encouraging students to explore their artistic side while connecting with Indian traditions.

Students from different grades participated with great enthusiasm, bringing their own ideas and imagination to life. Using colorful threads, beads, sequins, stones, and eco-friendly materials, they crafted rakhis that were not only visually appealing but also showcased their innovation and craftsmanship. The classrooms buzzed with excitement as students carefully designed patterns, experimented with colors, and added personal touches to their creations.

Teachers guided the participants and appreciated their efforts, fostering a warm and encouraging environment. The finished rakhis reflected a beautiful blend of traditional artistry and modern creativity. This activity not only honed students’ fine motor skills and design sense but also deepened their appreciation for cultural heritage.

At MTMS, such events are an integral part of our approach to holistic education—where students learn to respect traditions, express creativity, and celebrate values that strengthen relationships and community bonds.
