On June 5th, Mother Teresa Memorial School (MTMS) came alive with green colors, young voices, and vibrant enthusiasm as we celebrated World Environment Day 2025 with the theme:
“Our Earth, Our Responsibility.”
This special occasion was not just a celebration—it was a call to action, a moment of reflection, and a promise made by our students and staff to protect and preserve our beautiful planet.

World Environment Day is a global event organized by the United Nations to encourage awareness and action for the protection of our environment. At MTMS, we dedicated this day to:

The day began with a special morning assembly centered around the importance of environmental conservation. The key features included:
Prayer for Mother Earth – invoking blessings for a cleaner, greener planet

Speech by Students – highlighting the importance of reducing plastic use, planting trees, and water conservation

Nature Walk around the school garden
“Little Green Hands” – Planting saplings in small pots
Coloring and Craft – Recycled paper art and nature-themed drawings
📘 Middle & High School:
Poster Making & Slogan Writing on environmental themes
Debate Competition: “Is Technology Helping or Hurting the Environment?”
Clean Campus Drive – Students picked up litter and cleaned surroundings under teacher supervision
Quiz Contest on biodiversity, climate change, and sustainable living
🌳 Tree Plantation Drive
A special Tree Plantation Ceremony was conducted in the school premises. With each sapling planted, students tied handwritten eco-pledges, promising to care for the plants and follow sustainable practices in daily life.

♻️ Green Exhibition by Eco-Club
The MTMS Eco-Club presented an interactive exhibition showcasing:
Best out of waste products
Homemade compost samples
Miniature models on rainwater harvesting and renewable energy
Parents, teachers, and students visited the exhibition and appreciated the creativity and environmental consciousness of our young innovators.
